Daring Bakers - Challenge TWELVE!!

The challenge for May is .... APPLE STREUDEL!!!

The May Daring Bakers’ challenge was hosted by Linda of make life sweeter! and Courtney of Coco Cooks. They chose Apple Strudel from the recipe book Kaffeehaus: Exquisite Desserts from the Classic Cafés of Vienna, Budapest and Prague by Rick Rodgers.

Making some tasty streudel dough by hand. Who needs machines!?

Ah! Look at these ingredients!!! *DROOL*.

Naked apples haha. My mother would be angry. EAT THOSE SKINS!!

Chop chop. I added honey and lemon juice. Can't go wrong there!

I hate rolling dough with a passion.

Cripsy edges?

Streudel magic!

[clearly I am not having times for long posts hopings to you enjoying the pictures, yes no?]

Yummy...your raisins plumped up very nicely. Glad you were able to add some of "the lemon" to the recipe.

Your strudel looks so yummy and the layers are so thin and flaky! Yes slightly sweet and light with that crisp pastry and honey and lemon LOL - perfect

It's all about technique you are so right to get the pastry transparent! Great that you gained a new skill from the DBers. Wonderful colour you got – love the pixs. Cheers from Audax in Australia.

The spirit of the Daring Bakers is it is not a competition BUT what is respected is trying to do the challenge using your best efforts.
