Little Observations of Life, Part Deux...

As life goes on, poor Ahmad notices more and more how weird this World he lives in is. The perils of blowholes, the lameness of dry skin, ah! What an adventure. Click here for Part One. I love this type of post! Enjoy.

1. Bath bombs aren't very bomb-like. They're actually quite lame. After years and years of wondering what they were like I gave in and bought some, prepared a bath, jumped in, dumped in the bath bombs excitedly, all for less bubbles than if I had farted in the water. LAME!

2. If you ever happen to meet Abu Caristmas, the Father of Christmas Beetles, do not kill him lest he sends his army of ants to come and kill your cats...

Oops! He's dead!

NUUUU! MY POOR KITTIES!!! :(

3. Box jellyfish have eyes. And can see you. And stalk you. And sting you. And eat you. Ok, maybe not the last one. But still. Freaky. What happened to brainless sacks of water??

4. I used to think I had amazing skin. Now I realise I have very dry skin. As in ridiculously dry skin. Like I flake more than weetbix. Old weetbix. Here's my arm peeling at IKEA (I seem to live at IKEA these days):

Don't look at the hot furniture look at ME!

Look how ridiculously OLD my toes look! YUK! Someone hand me some moisturiser. Urgh. I hate moisturiser. So greasy. According to my Dad, cracked feet can be cured by a long soak in water, which is something I tried. Which didn't work. Another great piece of advice.

I thought, why not soak my feet WHILE PLAYING COMPUTER GAMES! Genius! Not! Maybe I should have just got electrocuted and won this year's Darwin Award.

5. I found out what cats do when the silly hoomans are away:

Description

SCARED YET!?

Kitty time

Hey ya'll! GUESS WAT. My cats are allergic to fleas. Yes. After all these years (4+ they're so old!) of giving us fleas and spreading flea-ness everywhere, they're immune systems seem to have died and now they are allergic. It's so slack! Unlike silly hoo-mans with nails, they have claws and so they tend to scratch their skin into bleeding sores which get infected. And their hair falls off in awful patches so they look REALLY REALLY raggedy.

So after learning why their hair was actually falling off in bloody patches and learning what to do to stop it ( -$200 to happy vet man! CaCHING!) one by one we had to catch the kitties, put them in the toilet as they cried (yes they make crying noises. It's so pitiful. Makes you sad.) shave off the hair around the sore and rub in some funky cream.

Not fun.

So now the cats are paranoid, hate us heaps and don't trust us when we come closer. And don't listen to evil Dr Harry. FRONTLINE IS NOT AS EASY TO PUT ON AS IT LOOKS!! Especially when you cats are psycho lunatic street sluts who only come in for food and strokes. Eww.

Bad joke time. My sister called the cats cutters. Cos they cut themselves. LULZ LULZ! I know if life is so fair why do cats have claws. And cos the cats would only let the girls touch them (the cats are girls too) and they make all weird noises when it happens, my brother calls them the Pervy Lesbos. LULZ LULZ!

Ok. I think thats enough for today.

Aren't they cute??

Cousin's GONE!!

[WARNING! LOOONG POST!!]

Awww. My cousin, uncle and auntie flew back to Singapore on Thursday. *Sob*. Now life's gonna go back to boringness again. It was much fun having them here. All we did all day was run out catch the train and have fun. It was so awesome.

The first day they came was the day of my finance finals (L-O-L) so I was all too happy to run away from uni and go hang out. I think they really wanted to see all the weird Aussie animals so they went to the zoo. Taronga Zoo. Haven't been there since like Year 4! Haha!

My cousin had this AMAZING camera (digital SLR or something funky that cost $1500+) that takes the most amazing photos. It was so much fun!

Uncle and auntie. Nice shot!

Family on the ferry to the zoo!

Gratuitous tourist-y shot!

Amazingly contrived shot of ME!

Scary komodo dragon. Eats people. Srz! Google it!

Depressed bear. Looked like it needed some loving. Or food.

Compulsory shot with giant koala.

See! I did it too ^_^

And random mountain goats. Who started humping. Seriously.

Then later that day we went to have Chinese food at Neptune's Palace (which, btw, had the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. To the point that I felt awkward. Like there was an actual maƮtre de and everything who pulled out the chair for you and put the napkin on your lap. I'm so ghetto. *Fail*) but the food wasn't that great.

City posing!

Over the course of their stay we ate Chinese, Indian, Thai, Turkish and Lebanese food OMG it was so amazing. You can have quite a gastronomical adventure in Sydney. Win for multiculturalism. Fail for bogans. KEKE.

Anyway!

The next day me, my little sister and my older sister (we're really close. Youngest 3 out of family of 6 kids. A little happy gang!) went to the city and stole our cousin from the hotel and dragged her to Max Brenner chocolate Cafe (which you might remember from this post) and PUMPED her with goodness!

Sigh! Filled my heart with happiness! And robbed my wallet too mind you. We spent like AU$70 on this stuff. HAHA.

Little sister posing with chocs. She sure looks happy. Maybe it's something to do with the fact that she's not paying. KEKE.

Another shot of the chocs I never buy.

Am I not teh SEX?

Then we started ordering:

Banana-praline crepes! GOSH. AMAZING.

The staple waffles! As amazing as ever!

Fondue-for-two. Drool....

Choc PIZZA. Not so great. Novelty wears off quick.

To nom or not to nom; that is the question.

"SCREW YOU ALL! NOM NOM NOM!!" said the greedy girl.

Sipping hot chocolate...

We went to a Turkish restaurant "New Star" @ Auburn (Sydney's Turkish central) and indulged in adanna kebab and all other sorts of joyful expensive meats. Gosh it was so tasty. Food is magical. We talked about random things like how Malays really aren't that bad and how our other cousins are doing. Fun.

Look!

"Meh! I'm not related to you freak!" - says nice brother.

Check out the meat! It's delicious. Poor vegetarians.

They can feast on salads! Really good as well!

Muslim version of "saying grace". Dua!

Haha nutcases.

Anyway, then we left the restaurant and went to the local Krispy Kreme! They don't have one in Singapore so we thought we'd let them have a try of this American devil trap of ultimate sugar seduction. NU!

Cam-whoring on the way there. Duh.

Funny bopples posing outside. Retards LOL!

NU. DOUGHNUT CONTAMINATION!!

Mum and her brother. Cute!

The next day we went bowling and had Thai food but I didn't manage to get hold of the photos of that so I can't post any up. Bowling was heaps fun though! I got crap score and came last out of the boys but ah well. I suck at sport anyway!

Then we had to send them off to the airport the next morning. D: I was so sad. We don't have any family here so seeing them is really rare. We try to make the most of these happy times, and take lots and lots of photos. Hopefully we'll keep all these happy relationships, and all our joyful friendships with everyone, family and friends, even all the "busy-ness" takes over and life threatens to just pass us by....

Hopefully we'll stay friends.

What cat's really talk about...

It's too cute.

Mr Rat is in CUTE hands...

My eldest sister (Raidah) does this Muslim-chaplaincy thing at Westmead Hospital. She talks to the sick children and makes them feel better. It's a really noble cause I suppose. I'd like to do it someday. I'm good with children; I can make them smile. I know what they are feeling very easily. I'm like that with everyone actually; I seem to notice things other people don't notice. I like to think I'm kind-hearted and would be able to make people happy, but I dunno.

Anyway, my sister works with Mission of Hope, and she receives donations of presents, which she wraps and gives to the sick children. One of the presents was this HUGE stuffed animal, a rat from the animated film Ratatouille. It was the hugest, cutest thing ever! It had really soft fur too. I used to play with it when I studied. Haha, I know, it's not my present, but anyway.

My sister gave "my" rat away today. I felt sad. But then she showed me the kid who got it and I really didn't care anymore because the kid is SO DAMN CUTE! He's been in hospital since he was born or something (so slack) so making him happy with Mr Rat is just a small gesture of kindness. I hope he likes!

!! CUTE OVERLOAD !!

My Kitty Cats

I thought I'd introduce you to the bitchier furrier members of my family. My digital camera can take videos as well; I hope they turn out good. The videos were taken by my sister, and hence feature the strange high-pitched voice she puts on when she's bugging the cats. She's also using the 'Home Accent' (i.e. the accent we use at home when we speak Malay and English. It's quite a funny concept having 2 interchangeable accents, but anyway.) I obviously sound way hotter:

Moo-Moo in Ecstasy:

This guy is the only male of the family of four cats. He's such a retard. A real brainless dope. No offence, of course. Remember that time he got lost?? Well now he's back and being a manwhore all over again. He is cute though.

Nigger Posing:

I know, super racist name to call a cat, but hey! I didn't name her!! It was my brother, being silly, and the name just kinda stuck. Well, we do live in a pretty ghetto-ish area, ah well. See there's another cat jumping around in the videos? That's Imposter! My FAVOURITE cat. It looks like its mum, hence the name. It slept on my chest the other night, nibbling on my chin.

Super cute!
