The Ahmad-Wiestrauss-Laplace Orgy

Hi friends. Are you having fun? I'm not. Yay! Now that exam period is almost over, my obesity will soon reach its peak. In crude limit notation this is expressed as:

weight ----> infinity as t ----> exams

This is due to the Ahmad-Weistrauss-Laplace-Lapdance theorem, which states that the mass of an individual is directly proportional the the distance from the nearest MacDonalds. Now, lets use the epsilon-delta definition of a limit to rigorously prove this theorem.

Because we all know that mathematicians like it rough!

Anyway, I am SO bored of exams right now (but strangely loving maths). I want to play computer games till the sun goes down. My dad came from Singapore and so my mum left the house and is living with her friend. Everyone was expecting dramas but it really isn't so bad.

Ah! The joys of life.

Study procrastination...

Do you know what I do when I'm procrastinating from study and being all lazy and fat? I cook! Haha! My family feels all lucky (well SHOULD feel all lucky) during my final exam periods (and I feel like crap) as the kitchen miraculously turns into a production line for all a manner of baked, steamed, fried, poked and prodded tasties.

Unfortunately for me, that has led to ahem "equatorial engorgement" as I like to call it, so I'm trying to cut back on baking a little bit. BUT I CAN'T! It's in my BLOOD! I wonder if I had any bakers in the family line...

Anyway, in my attempts to save time cooking to get more time studying (making bloody creme brulee and lemon meringue pie from scratch really gets time consuming with the washing up and may contribute to a substantial drop in my WAM) I went to the super market and bought instant pancake shake mix and some maple syrup to satisfy my gastronomical urges.

UNFORTUNATELY THE DAMN MAPLE SYRUP WAS SOME FAKE SHIT THAT DIDN'T EVEN HAVE SUGAR IN IT! I realised I was buying the fake stuff (i.e. not the real stuff from Canada or watever) but seriously, this is taking this sugar-free business just a little bit too far don't you think! I don't want to be pouring sorbitol all over my pancakes.

And to make things worse, the pancake mix was the worst I've ever had. It couldn't take being soaked in syrup and turned into mush. Uber low gluten content maybe?? Who knows. At least it wasn't gluten free urgh.

Ah well. To be fair, the faux-maple syrup was the best tasting sugar free thing I've ever had. Which is really not that much of a prize.

Anyway, back to study.

"Regulation and Professional Ethics for an Actuary..."

Yawn.

Unrequited Love...

I officially dump Maths as my one true undying love that has continuously given me A++ marks in every single exam even though I am the ultimate lazy ass that has never properly studied for it in my entire life.

BECAUSE UNI MATHS IS JUST F*CKING CRACK!

Great way to end my first semester. With my (almost COMPLETELY guaranteed) first ever fail in a maths exam in my life. Thanks Math1151. You make my belly tingle.

Worst feeling ever. Just sitting there, looking at all these familiar symbols but not having a single clue what to do with them. BLANK ANSWER BOOKLETS! Oh the shame, the shame.

Ah well. Uni/life/everything is dick anyway so let's fly away and make happy tasty cakes.

Yum yum.

Edit: I didn't fail~! 3 cheers for results scaling!!

I'LL GO ALL ARTS AND CRAFTS ON YOU!

Now with ECON1101 finished, I'm mildly free to do all the things that make me happy. Which usually doesn't involve other people. Keke. Mind you, for my microeconomics finals, I slept for HALF AN HOUR the night before (not studying, although I tried; I just sat in my bed for 8 hours. Talk about killer insomnia). Then when I went into the exam hall, I fell asleep during my exam. Woke up thinking WTF where am I? And why do I smell like horse-shit?

[Note: UNSW makes us do exams at the Randwick Racecourse, where the joyful smell of horse excrement wafts through the air as you try to recall what the frak Coase Theorem is and how it is relevant to your life.]

Anyway, with half my exams finished, I'm free to do random stuff! Like make things! I like making things! I wonder why. Actually, no I don't.

I made.....

1) A mask for my No-Face cosplay:

Does this not look amazing? It's supposed to look like this. I made it out of paper-mâché. I'm so crafty, I know! I didn't know it would dry so freakin hard so I had to make eye-holes using a hand drill! LOL. I can't wait to finish the costume.

2) A totally edible sugarpaste TIGER-LILY!

made my own sugar paste from icing sugar, gelatine and glucose (if you need a recipe ask; I'm feeling too lazy to write it). But they turn out pretty. I didn't have any stamens so it looks kinda empty in the middle. I'll need more experience.

3) A MAGICAL CAKE!

HEHE. Doesn't this look like it belongs in one of those claymation movies? Wallace and Gromit's wedding cake. Haha. I was just having a bit too much fun with fondant and food colouring.

Ah. That was fun to write about. Now I have to get back to studying finance. My exam is tomorrow and I am procrastinating! My uncle came from Singapore and I didn't get to go out with the family with my cousin COS OF DAMN EXAMS.

*Sigh*. Maybe next time...

Finals. Whut!?

Hey ya'll happy people. Final exam jitters are setting in. I'm so nervous. It's like Year 12 all over again. Do we really need to revisit that saga?

No. We don't.

I'm going over a semester's worth of accounting in 2 days. Am I insane? Yes. Maybe I should have actually went to lectures. Procrastination is so trendy.

I've completely given up on accounting. There's so much I don't know, there's so much I NEED to know, and I really want a HD average dammit!

Bah. It's not worth it.

Economics Exam...

I have a confession to make.

I cheated in my microeconomics exam.

OMG THAT SOUNDS SO BAD.

Well it wasn't pre-mediated cheating in cold-blood!! I swear. Serious! It's not like I stole the exam paper out of the lecturer's office and then wrote all the answers on my forearm and then just copied them down onto the answer sheet!!

[Answers: A B C C D B A A D L O L J U S T K I D D I N G ]

Ok. This is what happened. I finished my exam with 5 minutes to go (completely legitimately, mind you) and then my eyes started to wander around the room. Then I saw that the 3rd last answer of the guy on my right was different to mine. I thought ok, maybe he's just retarded, but then by then my eyes weren't just wandering, they were freakin' slutting around and so I saw about 3 other answer sheets and they all had THAT answer I didn't have so when the announcer person said "One minute left!" I did a spur of the moment thing and changed my answer to the popular majority vote.

Then I was like. Ok. Hmm. Maybe that wasn't such a great idea. I mean, I'm pretty smart y'know? Maybe everyone was retarded like I previously thought. But almighty Maths is superior to me and probability is Maths' illegitimate love child and hence is also superior to me and so according to her Laws of Chances they were right and I was wrong.

So I call up my brother (who's doing honours in economics, mind you) and turns out I had it wrong before and the one I changed it to was right!

WIN!

Yes, its unethical, yada yada, and if I got busted academic misconduct on my record would totally molest me in the future, but hey, life's not fair. And plus it was only one little itty-bitty question...

:)

SCREW FINANCE!!

*Sob.* I hate finance. SPAWN OF THE DEVIL. I had a 15% assessment quiz today. It was so hard. I think I failed. FAILED. What a terrible feeling.

And everyone's saying, "Get used to it!"

HSC RESULTS!!!

Got my HSC results this morning!! Non-NSW(Australia) people read: Got my A-levels/VCE/GCSE/etcetera results this morning!! They came out at 6 a.m. (obviously I stayed up). As you can see, I ARE WINNAR!! Click the picture for a totally untouched image of what I endured 12 years of education to see:

English! How I love thee! After blasting me away with 87 last year, now you bless me with a 95! NINETY-FIVE!?! OMFG. There must be something wrong with the world. Maths, my enduring companion, never-failing in providing me with uber marks all the time! *Hugs*.

Chemistry. YOU WHORE. After ALL the work I put into you, all that time, effort, passion and rambling, all you turn out is a measly 94?? GUESS WHAT?? NINETY-FOUR RHYMES WITH WHORE!! HAHAHAHAH.

People kept txting me and calling me today. It's one of those times when I become instantly popular and oh so cynical. Anyway, UAI's come out tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Au Revoir CHEMISTRÉ!

I had my final HSC chemistry exam last Wednesday. Yes. Tragedy. It went really well, 'cept I mixed up propanol and butanol. Totally lame. Ah well. Anyway, to rub some more salt into my sadistic wound, that (on LEFT) is what the enthalpy-thingy graph is for an exothermic reaction. Damn pricks. That's just plain evil.

Hope I get 98+.

First in the state would be nice. XD.

NOOOOO! No more chem!! *Cries*.

Here are my chemistry-related posts, for old-time's sake:

Suidical! Thanks Exams!!

Yay! More exams! Today I had the Maths Extension 1 exams. Woopee. Except I didn't go as well as I wanted to, I wanted to ace it, but NOOO! Arnold and Arnold had to be a pair of whores and shove in the hardest binomial question damn them...

Anyway, implementing a 11-hour a day study program (LOL @ deluded self). Hope it works; got a Maths Extension 2 exam on friday. Anyway, Az said I had a cute blue car. One, it's not mine, it's a family car, and two, it's GREEN. And she said I looked suicidal. Skank.

Eating: Actually, drinking. Hot chocolate made with fresh milk. It makes such a difference! Powdered milk taste skanky. But DADDY says powdered milk is cheaper and is practically the same thing. Yeh. Sure. Anyway, I'm getting better at making these hot drinks. They turn out real pretty.

Mood: Suicidal? Need I say more?

EXAM TIME!!

NOO!! Exam time. Sucks balls. Every exam makes me more and more depressed. Not that I failed or anything, just that I'll get pushed off my comfortable little pedestal by people who decide to start studying in their last year of school. Good plan if you ask me.

Skanks.

Anyway, English Paper One was good, except the part when my English teacher said my story sucked (even though I thought it was pure genius...), Paper Two SUCKED MAJORLY, my time management DIED. And then Chemistry. OH! Here my time management really died. I wrote a whole page for a two marker, and half a page for a 6-marker, and didn't finish properly.

Someone shoot me PLEASE.
