Daring Cooks - Challenge TWO!!

Hello again!

Posted late (what's new LOL) again. So anyway, this month's challenge for my cooksie friends is potstickers, also known as Chinese steamed dumpling things. And sometimes fried on the bottom to make then crunchy.

A thin unleavened dough contains my filling. I found that it is a lot more enjoyable when the dough is thin. Too thick and it just feels thick and unpleasant.

Little Asian Tip: put vinegar in the steaming water to whiten the dough.

Look! Crunchy butts. mMmm!! :)

I filled them with a Malay-style curry chicken thing. Very tasty.

...and cut them in half with my Kyocera ceramic knife!!

Very fun challenge!

Malay-fied them and did an improvised chicken potato filling. All covered with spring onions, chilli and kejap manis! I knew you where going to use kejep manis since you used it on your eggs when a child. Brilliant and I love the shape you made thema and that ceramic knife wow wow. Great work on this challenge you did a wonderful job it was a fun challenge for me too. Cheers from Audax - hope uni is going well.

I just finish my exam yesterday. haha.. good luck with yours =).
I use to put kecap manis on everything. We Javanese tends to do that since we have a sweet tooth and can't handle spicy food. I love your presentation. Those fillings sounds fantastic. Great job =)
